We are thrilled to announce the launch of our new podcast series, “The Mind of the Court”.
Research in the legal field is often perceived as a dry collection of papers, statutes, and final judgments. But what happens during the journey? What does it actually feel like to enter a European court as a researcher, to observe the collective dynamics of judges, and to face the unpredictable challenges of the field?
Beyond the Final Judgment
In this five-episode series, we step away from traditional academic reporting to offer a candid, “behind-the-scenes” look at the COIN Project (Collective Intentionality in Courts).
Guided by our Principal Investigator, Marco Mazzocca, each episode will explore the human and social layers of judicial institutions. We won’t just talk about successes; we will dive into the unexpected hurdles, the methodological puzzles, and the “messy” reality of doing socio-legal research in complex institutional settings.
Episode 0 is Live
Our introductory episode is now available. It sets the stage for the journey ahead, explaining why we believe that understanding the “collective mind” of the court is more crucial today than ever.
