Principal Investigator

Marco Mazzocca, Ph.D., is a legal philosopher and socio-legal scholar specializing in legal ontology, collective intentionality, and the rule of law. He currently serves as Principal Investigator of the COIN Project at the Faculty of Law, Pavol Jozef Šafárik University in Košice, where he conducts interdisciplinary research on participatory decision-making processes within collegiate courts.

He earned his Ph.D. in Law (cum laude, with the distinction of Doctor Europaeus) from the University of Padova. He has held research positions at Columbia UniversityKingston University, and the Institute of Advanced Legal Studies, and has also collaborated with the Universities of Trento and Padova. Author of numerous publications in philosophy, sociology, and law, he is active as an editor and peer reviewer for international academic journals in the fields of legal philosophy and socio-legal studies.
